Sometimes, we get so caught up in doing what we think is right, we forget to relax and enjoy the presence of our Savior. This song is loosely based on several stories from the scriptures, each bringing a different perspective on living with Christ. The first verse is from the perspective of a soldier following Christ to the crucifixion. The second comes from the point of view of one of the men to whom the resurrected Christ appeared on the road to Emmaus. The bridge refers to the old testament hero of faith, Enoch, whom Genesis says "walked with God and then was not."
Compositionally, I am especially interested in reaction to the chord that appears at bars 10, 16, and others. Is it too jarring, does it fit with the text, etc.
