Needing little introduction, Le Moucheron (The Gnat)is no 8 of Book 2, Ordre 6 from Francois Couperin’s collection of pieces for the harpischord. It is here arranged, in the original key, for 4 concert flutes. I have filled in some of the harmonies so that each instrument can have a decent part. Play as lightly as possible.
