Five "Si Placets"
Petruccis Odhecaton, published in 1501, was the first collection of printed part music. Several of the pieces were trios in a style already passing out of fashion, but brought up to date by the addition of a fourth part. Play this extra part "si placet" (if you wish). Five of these pieces are set here for recorders, two have been transposed as indicated, and in one bar notes have been adjusted.
