Pachelbel’s famous Canon in D is often requested as a processional for weddings. Originally written for 3 violins and basso continuo, and scored thus above, I have also included in the set of parts a viola which can substitue for the 3rd violin. (A few phrases have been re-written an octave lower to accomodate the viola’s range). Visit my web site at: http://members.sibeliusmusic.com.jjacklich/ to find many more arrangements for string quartet/string orchestra.

NOTE: Two purchases were made that included incorrectly formatted parts for viola and violin III (Oct 31, 2002, and Nov. 13, 2002). If the purchasers will contact me, I will replace the defective parts. For those looking at the site today (Sat., Jan 11, 2003), those parts (correctly formatted) have been uploaded and now appear on the web site.
