This fiery anonymous Medieval dance for two trumpets and medieval percussion is a true test for valves, fingers and concentration.
The medieval dance and musical form called the estampie in French, was a popular instrumental style of the 13th and 14th centuries. And retrouvé (French) is the word found in English. So perhaps it is a found dance? Despite all the mystery, it sure is a technical and emotional tour de force. Listen to the MP3 recording by The Brethren Brass for a "real" and accurate performance.
