The passacaglia originated in the Spanish pasacalle, music that accompanied a walk. It comes from pasar (to walk) and calle (street). This short joyous work for carillon 4-hands is a memory of a walk in Barcelona. The mp3 recording utilizes the carillon. It was given its first performance by Anna Maria Reverte and Koen Van Assche at the World Carillon Federation Congress, 2011.
