Anselmo Windhausen, an Argentinean lawyer of German descent, is into tangos. Once I showed him the ones I composed, and upon listening to them he thought they sounded as if they were written by Bach. I took that as a compliment and wrote the present piece for bandoneon and strings in his honour, which can also be performed as a string quartet (without bandoneon and double bass) or by the bandoneon as a solo instrument.
