This is an Easter hymn which includes the stories of the resurrection, the angels’ message to Mary, the road to Emmaus, doubting Thomas and some of what Jesus did between His resurrection and His ascension. The tune is that of the traditional Welsh folk song, THE ASH GROVE, which was first published in 1802 but is probably much older.
