This is an arrangement/reduction for choir of the adagietto from Mahler’s 5th Symphony. It was undertaken as an excercise in the full knowledge that no choir can hope to match orchestral colour. That said, it was interesting to try to achieve as great a fullness of sound as possible, and to overcome difficulties of voice-leading and solve the limitations imposed by the relatively narrow range of choral voices, compared to an orchestra.
Interestingly, and unsurprisingly, although it has been looked at many times here on Score Exchange, it has never been priinted down.
