This is a setting of an Edward Lear nonsense poem for children’s voices, piano and string quartet. A score featuring the vocal and piano parts is available separately. This could be sung in unison by a treble voice choir or there are places where soloists could be used. There is a much more extensive programme note in the score.
Though I’ve listed this as being grade 1-3 (the vocal part is no more difficult than this), the piano and string parts are trickier, maybe grade 6 or thereabouts. However, it has been successfully performed with a string quartet of youngsters aged 14-16.
