Summer is probably the hardest concerto of the four. This is due to the fast repeated notes in the violin solo passages and some awkward hand positions in orchestral passages. It also involves some passages of scalic thirds which although difficult are much more effective than the ossia alternative. Having said that, this concerto is probably the most dramatic of the four and is a lot of fun to play when it is mastered!
