Johannes Brahms completed his set of 21 dance tunes based on Hungarian themes in 1869. The Hungarian Dance No. 5 is probably the most well-known of the set and, like the other dances, has been arranged for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles.

Horn part also given in Eb, Tuba parts also given as Eb and Bb bass, Trombone parts given in both bass and treble clef versions.
