Requiem - In Paradisum
'In Paradisum' is the final movement from my setting of the Requiem Mass. The first section is scored for acapella choir and is canon-like in style. This moves into a section for horn, bass drum, strings and organ and is a reprise of the opening movement (Requiem Aeternam) of the entire Requiem Mass. The work ends with a short coda in the major key, reflecting Faure's philosophy that death was the comforter rather than the summoner of the cessation of a life full of turbulence and evil.
