The Discovery Cube is a children’s science center in Anaheim that I went to a few years ago. Some of the exhibits are cool, but others are broken, and some could have been a lot better with minimal effort. And then you pay extra to hunt for dinosaur parts by waving your electronic stick when you find one but the sticks don’t work and it’s really frustrating and makes you feel like crying.
I hope the piece in finished form is better than it was when it reminded me of the Discovery Cube.
The little sixteenth rests should be read as gaspy little breaths, and the tiny tempo increases should be read as "push forward slightly".
