Handel’s Air and Variations from one of the suites for harpsichord became known, a century later, as The Harmonious Blacksmith. Its popularity at that time is shown by its mention in two novels by Dickens. The demisemiquavers (32nd notes) at the end of this arrangement for recorders look a bit fearsome, but fall under the fingers well. Please note (see review) that the barring is correct and as written by Handel.
