A beautiful, peaceful aria from Bach's Cantata BWV 208. This sounds particularly luscious on saxophones. The Tenor is the soloist for most of the time with the pair of Altos giving sweet solace, whilst the Baritone must play almost subtone for the duration. "Freely transcribed" includes the occasional rich harmonies although not as wild as Grainger's wonderful "Blithe Bells". (There is no alternative Soprano part)
