Thank you for looking at my music. This arrangement is based on a 17th century two part voluntary by John Stanley. Although the original piece was for playing on any keyboard instrument, the second movement is in the style of a trumpet voluntary, a popular type of voluntary during that period, when the English organ didn’t have a pedal section. This arrangement is for the modern organ with pedals. However, I have tried to retain the light characteristics of Stanley’s music. I have also transposed the piece to D, which seems to make it sound brighter on the organ than in its original key of C.
