This short piece is written for the Clarsach - the traditional Scots harp. It is based on an old Irish tune of the same name, which I heard somewhere or other, though I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the singer. This harp has an interesting peculiarity - you can alter the tuning of *each string*, individually and independently, unlike on the orchestral harp, so you can get some unexpected harmonic effects - something I have tried to do in this piece.
