A choral fanfare for Easter Day or during Eastertide. The text is a traditional Easter hymn by Cecil F. Alexander, with minor alteration for inclusive language. I wrote this anthem originally to be sung as an offertory and it also makes an effective introit. This work was written for a very small church choir(the divisi at the end is optional) but sounds even more exciting with a larger group. The organ part is for rehearsal only, though it may be (and has been)used to support the singers in performance. My choir will be singing this as their Introit on Easter Sunday.
