One of the more enjoyable things I do, is to review classical CDs for Music Web International. I always like to pick either quite obscure repertoire from fairly well-known composers, or works from composers I’ve yet to come across.
The review of this excellent CD of early works for fortepiano by Weber - played by Duncan J Cumming and Christopher Hogwood - will appear on the website in due course.
Each of the six duets is fun to play, either all six together, or singly, or by making your own compilation. They are all available separately, if preferred.
Here is a link to the CD itself.
Any slight editorial amendments have largely been limited to tidying up articulation, and dynamic markings between the two players, and some discrepancies in note lengths at phrase endings. Any places where a note is simultaneously required by both players have been shown.
I have now uploaded a version of all six pieces complete, and at a considerable savings on the cost of each individual one!
