His grandfather converted to Catholicism and adopted the name D’Aquino hence he he also has the surname D’Aquin or D’Aquino in some sources. He was a child prodigy and a very accomplished harpsichord player and organist. Le Coucou comes from a Harpsichord Suite,Pieces de Clavecin, Troisiemme Livre, written in 1735. This arrangement is for guitar duet and parts also include TAB. TAB is provided only as a suggestion. Some will prefer to play from notation and as i.m. single lines rather than across the strings in arpeggiated style.
