This is a piece that I completed as my mid-term project for my composition lesson at the Univ. of Kansas. I wanted to write a piece that had two contrasting styles, so I chose to write a waltz and then a march. Even though I put this in the classical genre, I think it has a Hollywood flare to it…but almost everything I write does. Lastly, as far as difficulty goes, I said it's at a moderate level, which it mostly is, but there are a few places where the piccolo and bassoon do some serious finger work. -Chris-
