From secular Cantate BWV 207a: "Auf, schmetternde Töne der muntern Trompeten".This cantata was composed for the name day of the Elector of Saxony, King Augustus III of Poland which was celebrated on 3 August.[1] The work was likely premiered in Leipzig in 1735. It is heavily based on an earlier secular cantata BWV 207, "Vereinigte Zwietracht der wechselnden Saiten", which was first performed in 1726.
