This pro-life song is sung from the perspective of the unborn child to his/her mother from the womb.

The child’s voice on the recording is our daughter Rebekah (just click play on the MP3 directly above to listen). It’s from our CD "Listen For The Voice of God" by the Hernandez Family, available on iTunes and CD Baby. Also check out the lyric video on YouTube for the song that DeSales and I put together. As far as arrangement goes, here’s what worked well with the St. John school choir that I work with: Start with a good soloist for the first time through, then the entire children’s choir for the second time. For the last "our future we must place…in the hands of Another", the soloist sings by him or herself.

Instrumentally, if you have bells and/or flute available to play with the keyboard/piano, they’re very effective in setting the lullaby feel of the song. By the way, I use an electric piano sound live for this. But a piano, or piano/strings sound would work as well.

Our other daughter, Elizabeth, sings the harmony on the recording. If you need this part, just contact us through email and I’ll get that up on here. Our email is bernieanddesales@aol.com. Our phone in the U.S. is (717) 637-4122.

The $9.95 is all-inclusive: it gives you the license to make copies, include the lyrics in programs, and perform the song. If the price seems expensive, remember that Score Exchange keeps half of what is charged!

If you want to include the lyrics in a standing songbook that will remain in the pews, please call us. That license is slightly higher.

God bless you and your ministry!

Which method of viewing music should I use?

Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:

seView

seView, is the most compatible option. You should be able to view music on all modern web browsers including most mobile devices. Even if your device does not support javascript you should still be able to preview at least page one of the music.

You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.

Scorch

Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.

If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
