Bergamasca is a work for archlute written by Bernardo Gianoncelli and published by his widow after his death in 1650.

This rustic dance originated in Bergamo in northern Italy. It was a courtship circle dance in which the men moved forward and the women backward until the melody changed. The partners then embraced, turned a few steps and started again.

Shakespeare used a bergamasca in Midsummer Night's Dream. Ottorino Respeghi used Gianoncelli's piece in his Ancient Airs and Dances Suite 2 in 1924.

This version was recorded by The five Woodwind Quintet for their album A Stocking Full of Music.
