This piece represents the ticking carriage chime clock, I heard when I was a child, in my parent's study, in our house in the highlands of Scotland. I would sit on the large sofa near the large open French windows and let the July summer sun shine, streaming through the window, fall on to my face. I would then nap and fall into a dream, to the sound of the ticking clock which would chime out the hour, always on time. These were the happiest moments, and that clock which now sits on my sideboard, brings back the fondest memories of that house, and my late father and mother. There is a more easier version available under the Piano category.
