These songs are based on my own responses to the novels of Anne Rice, particularly the series entitled "The Vampire Chronicles", although no prior knowledge of these books is necessary, as only avid readers may discern episodes occuring in them. Rather, they are my own attempts to resolve, using the vampire as methaphor, issues of isolation, alienation, repression and mortality. Immortality appeals to all of us, yet when we think about the realities this would pose we would probably long for death. This is the Vampire's Kiss!
