A certain alcohol-inspired languor scarcely blunted the repartee, the electric atmosphere or the elegant, sophisticated movements of couples gliding across the floor. Or so my grandparents told me….
Since first posting this piece, I have taken the sage and perceptive advice of the dedicatee, Mr David Carter, and amended certain passages as well as providing a livelier ending. My sincere thanks to him for his help in improving on my original score.
