You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.This piece is dedicated to the tragic life of Mary Queen of Scots 1542 - 1587, who while in prison in England, tried to organise a failed revolt to overthrow Queen Elisabeth 1st of England. She was beheaded for high treason. This piano version reduction has been changed because the violins are playing repeated notes in some saltando sections, so I have re-written these sections to make it easier for the pianist to play them more melodically. The oboe player should try and emulate the bagpipes in the Scottish Reel sections.
