Which method of viewing music should I use?

Mull Of The Cool High Bens (Muile nam Fuar-bheann Mòr) - A song composed by John MacDonald (1883-1940) when, as a young man, he set sail for New Zealand. In the song he reflects in sadness on leaving the island of Mull and its high mountains, while hoping to return some day.
