I have decided to arrange a suite from Handel’s Messiah, for brass quintet and choir. My interpretation involves keeping the original key, and also to not insert dynamic markings in order to coincide with the orchestral score. The dynamic levels should be determined by the performers.
This suite is arranged to work equally well with all movements performed together, or played seperately throughout the duration of a concert, church service or musicale.
This first movement, although for Brass Quintet alone, acts as the overture to the suite. It is my pleasure to introduce the first movement, "Sinfony".
Please note that I have also included parts for Trumpets 1 & 2 in C to be used at the player’s discretion.
