A traditional tune probably originating in Scotland: "Auld Lang Syne" is usually sung each New Year at midnight or as a song of farewell. It is common practice that everyone joins hands with the person next to him or her to form a great circle around the dancefloor, theatre, arena etc.
This is a straightforward arrangement for Orchestra with a descant in the Piccolo, Flute and Trumpet parts.
There is an optional Piano part (not on the score) and a 3rd Violin (sub-Viola) part.
