I heard a friend’s recording of this piece performed by two flutes, harpsichord and basso continuo, and that is where I have derived this arrangement. It is one of the most uplifting melodies I have ever heard. Get as close to 132 as you can get to achieve that lovely bounce and forward momentum, with subtle rits and ralls where they feel appropriate. Ornamentation is obviously a matter of taste and skill. It can be played as a duetwith the top two voices. It also works well with two alto saxes and a tenor, and I’m sure there are all sorts of combinations which work equally well.
