No, not the Canzon Bergamasca, silly. . . but another Bergamasca by Samuel Scheidt. This work, originally for organ, is from the "Tabulatur-Buch hundert geistlicher Lieder und Psalmen (G?rlitz, 1650)". It's a four bar theme, presented in variation style 21 times. The fun thing would be to rehearse it and present it at a concert with the sole purpose of trying to make it interesting to the listener from the first notes to the very end. How?, well, that largely up to you but I would recommend the standard, play with the dynamics, highlight the interplay between the various instruments and ornament to taste!! This is a great piece. . .
