This is an idea from a old LP recording of the Vienna Horn Ensemble involving groups of 8-24 players on each track, some using 'Parforce' hunting horns in E flat, others with modern valved Vienna horns. I have taken this music and arranged it for a standard horn quartet in a suitable key. The original Hymn ends at bar 38 but I thought that a repeat with decorations in triplet quavers would make it more entertaining for a concert piece, together with the other two movements in the title.
The basic tune is fairly simple to play, the variants in the latter bars will need some good players. Try it out.
