One of a projected series of pieces for solo piano inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien - specially The Silmarillion. In this scene the hero Tuor has a vision of Ulmo - Vala of the Sea -rising from the waves, by the ruined city of Vinyamar on the north-western coasts of Beleriand in Middle Earth. It starts quietly with the rising swell of the sea, then out of the storm he hears the great Horns of Ulmo sounding, which after you have heard them you can never forget., before the storm and vision gradually subside and the sound of the sea vanishes into the distance.
