this overture is based on a story by Hanzs Christian Anderson, disney made it into little mermaid, the real story has a differnet ending, the mermaid dies at the end because the prince doesnt love her. in the overture i tried to describe the scenes with storms, the witch, the mermaids love, greif dilemma and death
