The Rondo alla Turka is the final movement of Mozart’s Piano Sonata #11, composed sometime around 1783, probably in Vienna or Saltzberg. The name comes from the pseudo-Turkish style suggestive of a Turkish band.
The original 2001 arrangement was premiered by the Venturi Winds and later played by The fiVe. I rewrote the arrangement in 2019 to better meet the needs of the players.
