Which method of viewing music should I use?
Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:
You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.
Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.
If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
The static preview shows a basic image of the first page.
The interactive preview also shows a preview of the first page, but it's a bit slower to load. The preview is displayed using the Sibelius Cloud Publishing technology from Avid. With most scores, this technology will provide a higher quality preview, as well as being able to switch to full screen mode and also play the displayed music to you.
Printing after purchase
After you have purchased this item the Cloud Publishing technology is utilised to provide the printing mechanism for the music. As such, we recommend checking that the Interactive Preview displays correctly on your device before committing to a purchase.

Loosely based on Hamlet “MY FATHER’S SON” (or “Made in Sheffield” as it was originally called) started out as an hour long musical written for Eileen Fawcett's Made In Sheffield Theatre Company in 1993, directed by Steven Dexter with book and lyrics by the late, great award-winning writer Stephen Clark (Martin Guerre, Zorro who died in 2016). By the time the show returned to the Sheffield Crucible Theatre in 1999, it had grown into a full-length, two act musical re-titled “MY FATHER'S SON". Along the way the show was performed at the Lilian Baylis Theatre Sadler's Wells, Sheffield City Hall, the Crucible Theatre and various other venues to acclaim. Each re-visit to the show always ensured new songs and scenes were added and a full-length demo was recorded in 1995 with leading West End performers. Several members of the original cast have gone on to highly successful careers in theatre and film including Rachael Wooding, Edward Hogg and Melissa Jacques. Rachael performed 'Run Where You Choose' (Jenny's Song) from the show at Stephen's memorial service. This vocal score, version 10, is the final performing version of My Father's Son. Please note it is a book musical and requires the book to be performed. Please visit the My Father's Son pages on my website for more information. The mp3 plays back the opening number Seven Hills as recorded for the 1995 demo.
