'Introduction a Fugue' was written for Malcolm Stowell organist of St. Mary's Slough. The piece is loosely serialistic based on a single tone row. The main theme of the Introduction appears throughout the work in various guises. The fugue, although not truly a fugue in the strict sense, explores the tone row further before the final recapitulation in which the two themes (intro & fugue) are merged. Malcolm is currently working towards a performance that is taking place on 15th July (12.30pm) at St. Mary's Slough.
