Throughout my time as a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral , UK, I sang these words many times and they carry great sentiment. The Benedictus forms a small part of the Mass, a form of sacred musical composition, sung (or read) as part of the Eucharistic liturgy.
This is an arrangement of my original work of the same title composed for SATB choir and Orchestra. Therefore the Violin solo is to be played cantabile - in a singing style - with a subtle use of vibrato.
