Moduli Undecim Festorum, a collection of Latin motets, was first published in Paris in 1554 by Nicolas du Chemin. Including music by Certon, Gardane, Gombert, Goudimel, Maillard and Villefond, it presented an overview of sacred music in the Paris during the reign of Henry II. The collection covered the eleven major festivals of the church year, Victimae paschali laudes being intended for Easter Sunday.
