I still have a fondness for this song, written nearly a quarter of a century ago, when I had not long been songwriting in earnest. I particularly like the way it builds up from a half-time feel in the first verse to double time in the chorus, with that octave ’A’ ostinato over a nicely varied chord sequence. It is hard to capture the excitement of the original recording with midi (especially for vocal parts), but this manages to convey some of the ’buzz’.
