This is a very short arrangement of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" from his 9th Symphony. It is set for a chamber orchestra of 4 woodwinds, 2 brass, timpani and strings. It was commissioned by the EAFIT Symphony Orchestra for a special performance at a business coaching.
Rather than a proper "concert" piece, this arrangement is suited for school orchestras and informal performances. Also, an amateur orchestra can find it a pleasurable brief piece to play. It consists on an easier version of the famous "hymn to joy" tune, set in C major rather than D maior. It provides and absolute freedom of performance, since, although it is not indicated, the piece can be repeated as many times as desired, with different combinations of winds and strings.
