God Save the Queen
The origin of "God Save the Queen" (or King) is uncertain though it is known that the tune was sung in London theatres circa 1745 and that Thomas Arne wrote a setting of the tune. Ralph Vaughan-Williams in The English Hymnal referred to the tune as being 17th or 18th century. 21st April 2006 was the 80th Birthday of H.M. The Queen. This straightforward arrangement was prepared in 2004 for a local brass band.
