The Mar Lodge Story
Mar Lodge in Aberdeenshire is a grand country pile near Braemar (see pic at www.ltr.co.uk/properties/scotland/mar/photoalbum/ph1). This music tells the story of the Lodge from misty beginnings, through ceilidhs, grand cronstruction plans and a succession of owners. There was a catastrophic fire at the Lodge after which it was refurbished and is now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland.(http://www.nts.org.uk). This music is for amateur chamber orchestra plus professional principal string players plus bodhran (playable on side drum). Contact me for parts.
