This composition might be considered to be a concerto for organ and choir. While they join in the full expression of the music, each moves along its own path. As a result there are very few places where the choir can rely on the organ for its musical lines which, of course, leads to a greater difficulty for a lesser skilled group. While I have labeled the lyrics as being biblical, few will be found as such in the Bible but, hopefully, are closely related to church ceremonies and rituals.
