At the Edge of the Lake is a four-movement work for flute and piano that was originally conceived while at the Tanglewood Music Festival in Massachusetts. It is a resonance of a summer of making music and enjoying the picturesque New England landscape, of swimming in the lake and the sweltering sun, and of heavy downpours and steaming wet trees. This was a time of both intensity and repose.
There are four movements:
I. At the Edge of t he Lake
II. After Rain
III. Tree Shade
