- MARCUS GILMORE is ROY HAYNES's grandson. In this excellent solo, Marcus shows us how to combine afro-cuban drumming (it's a 12/8 afro groove) with modern jazz phrasing.
- You can easily understand how he builds his solo. He also has his own vocabulary and a great feeling that you can catch by working on this drum solo. So don't hesitate to make loops on some phrases and play it with Marcus.
