I had a request from a former student for this arrangement of Schubert’s Ave Maria in B-flat for voice with solo viola accompaniment. I have also added an arrangement for voice and solo viola, in which the viola’s arppeggios are an octave lower for easier playing, and also an arrangenment for voice with solo cello accompaniment for its deeper and richer tone quality. Violists, practice the Prelude to Bach’s First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello before you tackle this arrangement.
